Sara Lee Human Resources Event

Sara Lee is a maker of fine cheesecakes. In order to have a unique twist on their Human Resources event last month, they decided to add a LEGO theme. I was asked to build the Sara Lee logo, as well as dozens of pieces of cheesecake and plates, each with a different colored border. The idea behind the event involved people earning “cherries” for their cheesecake based on good performance. The cherries were represented by hundreds of round red LEGO elements. Everyone got a different colored plate so they could distinguish their cheesecakes from one another. It was a great idea for an event, and a great way for me to use the different shades of yellow bricks for the cheesecakes. It was also quite a challenge to come up with all of the unique plate patterns. In the end, everyone got to enjoy their cheesecake model on their new fancy plate. Because what motivates people who work at a cheesecake company more than a piece of plastic cheesecake?
