Candy Canes

So candy canes were invented in 1670 by a choirmaster who gave the sugar-sticks to children in his choir in order to keep them quiet during the long breaks during the Christmas pageant. Good call, because nothing keeps children quiet like giving them sugar.

Any how, I built a couple of large candy canes for a charity fundraiser. The hardest part was making sure the pattern looked correct as it wound its way up and around the canes. Unfortunately I was running out of green bricks during this project. As I neared the top and end of the canes, I realized I was going to be about three bricks short. I decided to keep building and amazingly I had just enough bricks to finish. It was a Christmas miracle.

Or I counted wrong.
